Call for Proposals to Host ICSP 2028

Proposals to host ICSP in 2028 will be examined by the Conference Site Advisory Committee (CSAC) of the Stochastic Programming Society (SPS).
Complete preliminary proposals should be sent to the members of the CSAC before June 1st, 2025.
All qualifying proposals will be presented at the SPS Business Meeting at the upcoming ICSP, to be held July 28 - August 1, 2025 in École des Ponts, Paris • Champs-sur-Marne, France.
The guidelines below list important items to consider informing when submitting a preliminary proposal (for many points, it is clear that only estimates can be provided).
- The name of the person who will likely lead the organizing committee;
- The likely structure of the local organizing committee;
- Information about the conference venue;
- Specific venue and preferred dates (season/month);
- Public transportation from the city center to the conference venue;
- Conference rooms with technical equipment:
1 conference room for the plenary/semi-plenary speakers and tutorials, with a minimum capacity of 200 participants;
6-8 smaller conference rooms with a capacity of 30-70 participants; - Wireless Internet access;
- Lunch and coffee break facilities on site;
- Venue map with indication of classrooms, coffee and lunch break area;
- Information on the ability;
- to manage logistics such as webpage, registration process, abstract submission;
- to organize tutorials and tennis/football tournaments the weekend before the conference;
- to fund the cost of the conference (industry/government support);
- to support some students and/or other participants;
- City information;
- Host country visa regulations;
- Availability of flights from various continents;
- Links or information about the city, its weather and tourist attractions, accommodation for participants and public transportation to the conference venue, conferences already organized at the conference venue, costs and prices;
- Proposal of a general technical and social program of events for the conference week;
- Estimated registration costs;
- Estimated “important dates”: for submission of minisymposia, abstracts, registration;
- Previous experience in organizing large international conferences;
